After once you have accessed LAYOUT PAGE app, make your selections for Object, Record Type and Page Type, click Build Page button
Upon successful completion, you would see the Preview of the Visualforce page being built. Click Save button to proceed
Save it as a NEW page OR Replace an existing page as you desire
Wait for the confirmation popup. You have successfully generated the Visualforce page, now you can extend it as you deem appropriate.
You can enable Debug mode on demand
